This is Probably the Best Tasting Chicken Wings Ever! | MissNessieMarie

Chicken wings…. oh my! Just by the sound of it makes my mouth water. I love chicken wings! I couldn’t help myself going on chicken wings group date with friends. Chicken wings is life!!!!!!!

Anyway, enough with chicken wings appreciation babble. Let’s get right into what I am about to disclose with you. Okay, here it is.

I finally found the best tasting chicken wings so far (in my opinion) here in Cebu! Any guesses?

It is a family owned food stall located in Talamban before the sports complex. It is conveniently located along the road beside Drake Enterprises Bikeshop. The name of their stall is Winging.

Outside their stall, you can see their tarp with the dishes they serve.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They asked ask us if it is our first time dining and we said yes. And then they suggested for us to try their bestseller wings, so we did and ordered the bread and chili con dip too.

Wingig chicken (6 pcs) in mild maka-wingig sauce.

Bread and Chili Con Dip.

Their wingig chicken is really delicious. The ingredients are well thought of and the flavors blend perfectly. The spices are distinct without totally overwhelming your palate. It is not your ordinary chicken wings. Kudos to the chef!

The chili con dip was also sumptuous. I like it because it doesn’t have those beans which I am not really a fan of. So, that is a big plus for me! That chili con dip was the bomb!

Would I dine again at their humble stall? 100% YES! I would highly recommend that you guys would visit the place kay na wingig jud ko sa ka lami!

4. genuine smiles instead of emojis

Year 2018 in Pixels Free Printable | MissNessieMarie

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year with your family and loved ones.

Another year, another start of a chapter. Some of us for sure have already started planning out their whole year. And speaking of planners/diaries/journals, I wanted to share with all of you guys this cool concept going around on Pinterest called Year in Pixels in which the days of the months are in grids and you will be coloring in each grid/day according to your mood or the kind of day you had.

Here’s what it looks like:

Looks cool right?

I made my own version of the Year 2018 in Pixels and you can download the template here. I already pre-filled the legend so that all you have to do is to print it out and start coloring!

What do you think of this idea? Is it a YAY! or NAY… Let me know in the comments!

3 Podcasts that You Should be Listening to Right Now! | MissNessieMarie

I LOVE listening to podcasts!  It’s helping me make my Mondays more bearable *lol*. Anyway, I love listening to it because it is available online and you can play it wherever and whenever you like it. You can even download and save episodes offline.

I usually listen to podcasts with my trusty old earphones and I think it is time for me to get new ones because mine was starting to get all too tangled up and the middle part is already falling apart and you can actually see the wires sticking out. I am still deciding if I want to get over-ear, in-ear, or on-ear headphones or maybe bluetooth ones. Maybe you can recommend some good ones.  Let me know.

What’s in my bag? | Miss Nessie Marie

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you had a great start of the year. It is time for me to finally show you what’s inside my bag. It took so long for me to finally be able to post this and now, here it goes!

First, let’s start off with my bag. So, I got this medium-sized cross body bag from SM department store for about Php 300+ which I think was really a great bargain. Currently, this is my go to everyday bag.

So, what are the bits and pieces inside? Let’s dive right in!

Wallet/Purse – This wallet is actually my mom’s. I just used it because I love its classic black design and it is really durable.

Pen and Notepad – If I have to take down notes, I like to be ready. And if anyone needs something to write on, they can use mine.

Coin Purse – when commuting by jeepney, I like to be prepared. Paying the jeepney fare with bills especially early in the morning is quite a hassle.

Earphones – coz duh!? Listening to Continue reading

“The Paradoxical Commandments”

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.

Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.

Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.

Succeed anyway.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.

Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.

Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.

Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.

Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.

Build anyway.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.

Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.

Give the world the best you have anyway.”

Let Go of Negativities | MissNessieMarie

How to brush off negativities in life?

  • Keep smiling.
  • Never dwell in the past.
  • Always see the bright side of things/a person.
  • Remember that you are not alone and seeking for help is not a sign of weakness.
  • If you are feeling down, talk to someone.
  • Always be thankful.
  • Stress is just a word. Remember, it’s all in your head. Think of happy thoughts.
  • Take a break. Relax. Breathe and let go.

Heal, Dear Alma Mater | Donate and Help Rebuild Plaza Central School

To others, maybe you are just one of those old structures…
but to us you are something.
Something more than that. Something great.

You saw us as we first took that step on your grounds, nervously waiting because it is our first day while latching on to our mother’s side, filled with mixed emotions.

You’ve seen us opening our new notebook, as we scribbled funny things on it.

You’ve seen us
laugh,
talk,
shout,
gossip,
share secrets…
You even witnessed our first puppy love – that childhood crush.

You’ve seen us
stutter during recitations,
got our first big zero marked in red ink, crumpled it and get on with it hoping our parents won’t notice.
You’ve seen us burst into tears.

You’ve seen our other side.
You saw that moment we cheated,
lied, and bullied someone, but you asked no questions.

You were silent.

You’ve seen our struggles and our victories.
You’ve seen us marched towards that platform, while receiving our medals, certificates, and diplomas. You were there looking at us happy and proud.

Then, that was the time you let us go, fully equipped with knowledge and wisdom. You set us for bigger challenges and more exciting victories. You watched us not marching towards you but away from you. You watched us leave…

You waved goodbye.

We left, you cried.

Do you remember those times you used to tell us stories? Yes, there were tons of it! We would never forget all those crazy ghost stories you used to scare us.  You really had a lot of stories to tell back then but on the 18th of January 2016, we heard a different story. An even more terrifying than a typical ghost story.

A heartbreaking one to be exact. So different that you are not enthusiastic while telling us about it.

A part of you died. Burned to ashes, leaving us with cinders.

You sobbed, we cried.

Like a phoenix, you will be reborn, new, and stronger. But those memories…our memories…

The smell of your good-old wooden floors,

those fun times we spent sliding down the stairs using the top part of some broken desks during breaks,

those corridors where we used to chat, goof around, and read our notes while waiting for our next class.

Those were just few of all those great memories we shared. You were one of those stepping stones that helped us get to where we are today. With that, we’re forever thankful.

Heal, dear alma mater, heal… for we shall see each other again. Rise, rise with all your glory.

Like a phoenix, rise from your ashes!
