I LOVE listening to podcasts! It’s helping me make my Mondays more bearable *lol*. Anyway, I love listening to it because it is available online and you can play it wherever and whenever you like it. You can even download and save episodes offline.
I usually listen to podcasts with my trusty old earphones and I think it is time for me to get new ones because mine was starting to get all too tangled up and the middle part is already falling apart and you can actually see the wires sticking out. I am still deciding if I want to get over-ear, in-ear, or on-ear headphones or maybe bluetooth ones. Maybe you can recommend some good ones. Let me know.
Anyway, back to the podcasts. Here are 3 pods that I am obsessed with right now. Let’s start with Marcus Butler and Matt Viney’s podcast called, Lower Your Expectations. Marcus, is a British YouTuber that I follow for his awesome sketches with Matt who is the one behind the camera and they collaborated and made a podcast talking about Marcus’ life as a YouTuber and all of life’s shenanigans.
Lower Your Expectations is both the title and the small print for this new series from Marcus Butler and Matt Viney. Marcus has two YouTube channels with a combined following of over 6 million. And Matt is that anonymous guy you occasionally see lurking in the background. Through their directionless chitchat (mostly the embarrassing moments they wish they could forget) Lower Your Expectations goes behind the curtain of their daily lives, revealing what it’s like to be a YouTube personality… and what it’s like to work for one. Lower Your Expectations, literally. It’ll make it way more enjoyable, promise!
Next, is Ingrid Nilsen and Cat Valdes’ podcast, Ladies Who Lunch. What to love about this podcast is that they are openly discussing topics on mental health, relationships, sex, etc. When you’re listening, it’s like you are really there with them having lunch.
Ladies Who Lunch lets you sit at the table and explore topics often left out of polite conversation with YouTubers Ingrid Nilsen and Cat Valdes. Write in to join their dialogue about sex, relationships, social phobias and more as they approach life’s dilemmas with compassion and a sense of humor. New episodes every week.
The third pod is Modern Love. Each episode, they feature essays submitted and published in The New York Times, read by celebrities. The stories will surely pull your heartstrings, I promise!
The podcast features the popular New York Times column, with readings by notable personalities and updates from the essayists themselves.
And that’s it guys! If you you haven’t listened to any of these, go and just give it a try and maybe you will enjoy and love it as much as I do. Or, if you have any recommendations, let me know in the comments. I still have other podcasts on my list and it will be featured next time.
